Floating in the smoky air of a basement jazz club, we get a bird’s eye view of the fear, desires, ambition, doubts, enthusiasm and jealousy of the group of people below us: a thirty-something whose bravest gesture in life has been to roll up his sleeves and sunbathe his forearms; a young guy wracked by doubt after making a girl he is not in love with fall in love with him; a young couple who cannot decide whether to love each other or strangle each other; a young woman who cannot decide who she is; an old couple joined inextricably until their final day thanks to the toss of a coin.
