Jordi Cortès Badalona, 1960) has dedicated a great part of his professional life to geography and history, both in teaching and research. The fruit of his work as a geographer is the publication of essays on different regions and territories of Catalunya. His teaching career - above all with teenagers - has brought him into contact with young people's literature, a genre in which he has received awards such as the Premio Ciutat d'Olot 2008 for Les veus de la Roca Roja and the Premio Columna Jove 2009 for L'enigma de Stromboli. His latest young people's novel appeared in 2011 with the title La Germandat de la Muntanya.
