Xabier Mendiguren
Xabier Mendiguren has worked as an editor since joining the publishers Elkar in the late 1980s. He specialises in literature for both children and adults. As a writer, he has tried different genres, stories for children and young people, stories for adults, novels and plays, though he gave up the latter in the 1990s.

He has won many prizes, including the Telesforo Monzón (for Kanpotarrak maisu), the Lizardi, the Toribio Altzaga, the Bizenta Mogel, the Tene Mujika, the Ciudad de San Sebastián and the Pedro Inazio Barrutia.
