As a director and screenwriter, Agustín Díaz Yanes (Madrid, 1950) has carved out one of the most solid cinematographic careers of our times. For Nadie hablará de nosotras cuando hayamos muerto (1995) he received the Premio Goya for both direction and script. In 2001 he directed Sin noticias de Dios and in 2006, Alatriste, the adaption of the best seller by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. En 2008 he released Solo quiero caminar. He is President of the Asociación de Autores Literarios de Medios Audiovisuales, and Simpatía por el diablo is his first novel
