“J.S. Bach and the Children” is part of the series “The Great Composers and the Children” (a collection of 5 books with CD) designed and produced by Montserrat Roig with the collaboration of different specialized authors. All books include: a story, a biographical note, a CD with the music each composer wrote to be interpreted by children, and the dramatized recording of the storytelling.
Each book, together with the CD, makes reference to a specific classical composer showing them as a master and teacher.
The tales mix fiction with reality. In general, these musical pieces were composed for a child close to the composer, so the story of how they were written, like the music itself, is a reflection of a special moment full of tenderness. The series “The Great Composers and the Children” wants to show that magic moment and make these musical pieces accessible to the youngest ones in a fun and entertaining way.
The pieces of the musical selection are full of charm. Generally composed for piano, they have the simplicity of children and the greatness of the musicians who wrote them. All the music belongs to albums required in any music development process.
