Lying in Wait
Noemí Sabugal (Santa Lucía de Gordón, León, 1979) holds a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has worked for various media, for example the newspapers El Mundo, El Mundo-La Crónica de León and Diario de León, the weekly newspaper Interviú and Cadena Ser's Information Services. In 2005 her work was recognised by the Castilla and León Francisco de Cossío Journalism Prize, press section, for her report entitled 'From Crossroads to Cross-Cultures', about immigration in the Leonés del Crucero neighbourhood. The Murder of Socrates was shortlisted for the XI Fernando Quiñones Fiction Prize. With Lying in Wait, her second novel, she has won the XXI Felipe Trigo Fiction Prize.
