Crisis
Uruguayan writer (1969). Graduated in architecture from the University of the Republic of Uruguay, taught design and mathematics in various schools in his country and abroad. In 2003 he gave up his previous careers to dedicate himself solely to writing and research. He currently teaches Latin American Literature at The University of Georgia, United States. He has published To Which Homelands of Silence (Memories of a Disappeared Person), Criticism of Pure Passion, The Queen of America, The Time I Had to Live In, Forgive Our Sins, The Moon City and Crisis. He contributes to La República, El País, La Vanguardia, Rebelión, Resource Center of The Americas, Revista Ibero-americana, Tiempos del Mundo, Jornada, Centre des Médias Alternatifs du Québec, etc. He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the magazine Araucaria de España.
