Carolina the Chicken Raps
Pep Castellano (Albocàsser, 1960), studied teaching and pedagogy. He has worked as a labourer, waiter, farmer and teacher. Since the eighties he has worked in government administration at the Institut Valencià de la Joventut . He is also a contributor to the radio programmes "A vivir que son dos dias" (Ràdio Castelló Cadena SER), "Calcetins i Gominoles" and "El vermut" (Radio Vila-real), and to the newspaper Levante de Castelló, and he writes a blog at http://pep-castellano.blogspot.com/
Since his first novel L’Herència dels Càtars (Samaruc Prize 2001), he has published: 'Marta Martí, Reina del Rodolí'; 'Jaume, el Gos y l’Humà Rabiós'; 'Marta Teixidor, la Dona Ascensor' (co-written with Canto Nieto), and 'El Rap de la Gallina Carolina', all with Bullent. He has also been awarded prizes such as the Ciudad de Torrente, the Ciudad de Borriana, and the Vicent Ferrer de Paterna.
