Why Are Election Campaigns Important?
Ferrán Martínez i Coma (Barcelona, 1977) graduated in Political Science and Public Administration from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona in 1999. He got a scholarship from the Juan March Foundation, of which he is a Doctor member and received his Ph.D. in Sociology in 2005. He got scholarships from the Caja Madrid Foundation and the Fulbright Commission, in both cases to continue his predoctoral research at Harvard University. He worked for the Barcelona City Council in 2006 as a Technical Advisor, and in July 2007 he joined the Centro de Investigaciones y Docencia Económicas (CIDE), as a lecturer and researcher as well as Director of the research project "Mexico, the Americas and the world."
