A work such as this requires great knowledge, experience and access to relevant, up-to-date data and evidence on Celtic culture, in particular in relation to its history, mythology, religion, popular traditions, oral and written (since the 5th century) literature, archaeology, linguistics and art. The author of this work, Manuel Alberro, has, after decades of teaching and researching in universities in the British Isles, the United States and Canada (all areas with strong Celtic roots), achieved this.
This Encyclopaedia of Celtic Culture, which Ediciones del Serbal is pleased to offer, is the first Celtic encyclopaedia to be published in Spain. It is aimed at general readers but also students and scholars interested in the topic, who will be able to deepen their knowledge of Celtic culture thanks to the extensive, thoroughly researched bibliography.
