Javier Moro (Madrid, 1955). He has worked as a researcher for various books by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins. A co-producer and scriptwriter, he spent six years in the United States working on film and television projects, including working with directors like Ridley Scott. He is the author of "Senderos de Libertad" (Paths of LiBerty") (Seix Barral, 1992), "El pie de Jaipur" (The foot of Jaipur") (Seix Barral, 1995), "Las montañas de Buda" ("The Buddha's Mountains") (Seix Barral, 1998), "Era medianoche en Bhopal" ("It Was Midnight in Bhopal") (2001), in collaboration with Dominique Lapierre, and "El sari rojo" ("The Red Sari") (Seix Barral, 2008). His novel "Pasión india" ("Indian Passion") (Seix Barral, 2005), the story of a Spanish dancer who married the Maharajah of Kapurthala, has been one of the greatest successes in Spain in recent years both critically and in sales terms. It has been translated into seventeen languages, and been very successful in various European countries, too. Moro won the 2011 Premio Planeta for his novel "El imperio eres tú" ("You are the Empire").
