Margaret Jull Costa
Margaret Jull Costa is a literary translator from Portuguese and Spanish, and has translated works by such authors as Fernando Pessoa, José Saramago, Bernardo Atxaga and Javier Marías. She has won various prizes, among them: the PEN Book-of-the-Month Translation Award, the Oxford Weidenfeld Translation Prize and the Premio Valle-Inclán. Her translations of Leopoldo Alas’ His Only Son and Doña Berta will be published by New York Review Books in November 2016.
