The multidisciplinary staff at public health centres are responsible for performing a range of interventions by means of which the needs of dependent patients are assessed. These professionals are in charge of implementing activities and strategies which will help to improve the patient’s self esteem, as well as their autonomy and social relationships.
The aim of this book is to help the reader acquire the necessary professional skills to undertake planning, development, application and supervision of activities, enabling them to carry out the correct public health intervention with dependent people. They will also understand how to perform appropriate interventions in hygiene care, administration of medication, transfer techniques, and basic health care techniques for emergency and first aid for dependents in centres.
