This is the question posed by four lonely souls who meet each other by chance in the Café Turner, the only place open in a coastal town in the middle of winter: Imagine that your house is on fire and you have time to save only one thing which signifies to you everything that is worth living for. The conversation, which begins as a game, will have totally unforeseen consequences, weaving together the four people's lives in such a way that they find a new purpose in life.
