A Triangle of Spies
Humberto López y Guerra (www.hlguerra.com) is a Cuban-Swedish writer, film-maker and journalist. He began his film career in Cuba, before moving on to Sweden, and has directed over twenty television documentaries and series, among which stand out Federico García Lorca: Death in Granada; Arrabal, which won the Prix Italia; The Sentence, which was nominated for an Emmy; Castro’s Cuba, the most complete series made to date about Cuba; and The Evil Years, which in 1987 won the Nordvision first prize for the best Nordic television series. In 2012 he published his novel The Traitor of Prague, which was listed in the New Herald’s ten best sellers of the year and described as “a landmark in the Spanish spy genre”. And in Mexico in 2015 he was selected as one of twenty-five best authors.
