London 1866. Yet again, José Rodríguez Losada is on the run from his past. Having left the family home as a boy, he is forced for political reasons to exile himself from the absolutist Spain of Fernando VII. Now he lives in London, a more advanced city, one which holds the promise of a hopeful future. Highly skilled and full of enthusiasm, he must accomplish an urgent mission: to repair Big Ben, the most famous clock in the world. But nobody can escape his past - a shadowy figure is keeping watch through the London fog, and means to end his life. Meanwhile José lives and works only for his dream: to construct a clock with a revolutionary mechanism. Will José manage to negotiate all the dangers that surround him? History says that he will, and that his dream project will be known as the clock in the Puerta del Sol.
