This is the story of Mateo and Olga, and a job application destined for Google. Mateo is interested in robots and determined to establish whether the concept of merit should be banished from human relations. Olga, a mathematician and business woman, believes that statistical models are a kind of story-telling and probability is a more precise way to name the condition of being free. It could be a love story to the degree that meeting, dialogue and the desire to listen to the other's voice build a common story. And because, as in love stories, this encounter finds room for two different approaches to being in the world. Mateo and Olga represent two generations, two lives that were not called to connect and that will call Google to account. A novel that dissects human relationships, criticising social inequality and technological dehumanisation.
