Ignacio Martínez de Pisón (Zaragoza 1960) is a novelist, script-writer and contributor to various publications. He is the author of more than a dozen works of fiction, most of which have been translated into several languages. Among his works are the novels Carreteras secundarias (B Roads, or Back Roads) (Anagrama 1996, adapted twice for cinema), El Tiempo de las mujeres (The Women's Time) (Anagrama 2003) El día de mañana (When Tomorrow Comes) (Seix Barral 2011 - awarded the Premio de la Crítica) and La buena reputación (Good Reputation) (Seix Barral, 2014) winner of the Premio Nacional de Literatura, as well as the essay Enterrar a los muertos (Burying The Dead) (Seix Barral 2005 - awarded the Premio Dulce Chacón and the Premio Rodolfo Walsh prizes). His latest novel Derecho Natural (Seix Barral, 2017) has been both a commercial success and a critical one, and was acclaimed as one of the novels of the year.
