Raquel de la Morena

Raquel de la Morena was born in Talavera de la Reina in 1975. When she was six years old she and her family moved to Alberche del Caudillo, a lovely close-knit town in the province of Toledo, where she passed a very happy childhood between books and games. She graduated in Journalism from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and has worked on various media organs, including El Mundo and Europa Press. She is currently on the staff of the magazine Muy Interesante. She has published eight child and young adult books in collaboration with her husband, Pedro Estrada: the first, Perdidos en el tiempo (Lost in Time), was published in 2009, and the last, La maldición de Trefoil House (The Curse of Trefoil House) came out in 2017. The Heart of the Banshee is her latest book.
