The Moon in Your Hands
Rita Morrigan was born in a coastal town in the north of Galicia. This green, craggy landscape with its constant mist helped to develop her introspective nature. She grew up with the tales and characters of Galician mythology, which fed her imagination and her desire to tell stories. After graduating from the Universidad A. Coruña, she became involved in anthropological research, which led her to publish a number of ethnographic works: A festa no aire (Celebration Is in the Air; 2006), De sol a sol (From One Day to the Next; 2010) and Os heroes van paisano (Your Heroes Are Clowns; 2012). While she was writing these texts, she discovered that "love is one of the factors that has the most transformative effect on human beings." Since 2010 she has returned to romantic fiction with such titles as: Dulce camino espinoso (Sweet Thorny Path; 2010), Íntimo sendero de magia (The Private Magic Road; 2011), El sueño de una bruja (A Witch's Dream; 2014). The Moon in Your Hands is her fifth novel.
