False Calm
María Sonia Cristoff (Trelew, Patagonia, 1965) has been making a mark on 21st century Argentinian literature with here unique works. She has published Bajo influecia (Under the Influence, 2010), Falsa calma (False Calm, 2005), Desubicados (Displaced, 2012) and undertook residencies at the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa and the Rayuela programme in Leipzig, Germany. She has also edited a number of anthologies whose central themes are related to her own fiction. She presently writes regularly in the newspapers NEUE ZÜRCHER ZEITUNG, PERFIL and LA NACIÓN and teaches creative writing.
