Fernando Clemot, writer and editor, was born in Barcelona in 1970. His literary output so far has been centred on short stories. Together with Klaus Zilles he edited the anthology 'En la frontera: I migliori racconti della letteratura chicana' (Gran Vía Editorial, Milan, 2008), and is the author of the short story collection 'Estancos del Chiado' (Paralelo Sur Ediciones, 2009). His stories have won him some twenty prizes, such as the 2006 Julio Cortázar prize from the Instituto Cubano del Libro, the Ciudad de Cádiz also in 2006, and the 2003 UNED Premio Internacional. Some of his award-winning stories have appeared in anthologies. He also contributes to literary magazines such as Quimera, Barcarola, Literaturas, Paralelo Sur, La Jiribilla, El Otro Mensual and La Siega.
