Pistol and Knife
Moontero Glez (Madrid, 1965) is the author of: Sed de champán (Thirst for Champagne, 1999), Cuando la noche olbliga (When the Night Says So, 2003), Manteca Colorá (Pig Fat, 2005) and Besos de fogueo (Blank Kisses, 2007), a collection of short stories which was shortlisted for the Premio Setenil, 2008. He contributes to various media organs under several of pen names, and has collected his opinion pieces in Diario de un hincha, el fútbol es así (Diary of a Fan: Football is like that, 2006) and El verano: lo crudo y lo podrido (Summer: The raw and the rotten, 2008). Pólvora Negra (Black Powder) was awarded the Azorín prize for a novel in 2008 and was shortlisted for the Premio Casino de Santiago 2010. In 2009 he published A ras de 'yerba', apuntes futboleros (At 'Grass' Level: Football Notes). He presently contributes to the cultural section of El Mundo. Translated into French, Dutch…
