The protagonist of this story is born out of a legend. In the times of Philip V, the gardeners of the Retiro spoke of an elf who swapped the flowers they planted for others. In this story the elf has woken up angry and will have to make a trip to get her good mood back. She achieves this thanks to the influence of art which, in its diversity, assimilates and embellishes everything. This is the first story in a collection set in the Retiro-Prado complex, a space that encompasses a cultural and ecological wealth of immeasurable value, a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status. The story told here references several works from the Thyssen Museum, from the Renaissance and 20th century periods. It brings the reader closer to a part of that artistic abundance that lies at the centre of the city of Madrid, a story orchestrated by the little elf Elva.
