Learn Chess for Yourself
Luis Álvarez González was born in Jerez de la Frontera on 28th July 1952. He was a teacher for 35 years specialising in Mathematics and later in Physical Education. At present he works with the Delegation for Football in Jerez as a subdelegate of the Coaching School. He has always wanted to be a writer but retirement was the impetus enabling him to devote himself fully to writing. "Learn Chess for Yourself" is his first book. Julio Rivera is an educationalist and a poet. As an educationalist he is a leading advisor to the Spanish Education System and the author of many projects with the Ministry of Education as well as books on Tutoring such as "El Niño Tímido" [The Shy Child] and "A Tales Padres, tales Hijos" [Like Parents, like children]. He has given numerous courses on Teaching Methods to middle years teaching personnel across the whole of Spain. In his guise of poet, he's published 12 books of poems and has been a finalist for the Fray Luis de León and Hermanos Argensolas Prizes, amongst others.
