Catalina and the Island of the Cyclops
Miguel B. Núñez, Madrid (1970) is an cartoonist and comic book writer. He won the Expocómic Prize (2001) for best new author. He started his career as a cartoonist at the end of the eighties, working for the music magazine Trash Metal and the independent recording company, Subterfuge Records. He has been published in international and national magazines: Strapazin (Switzerland/Germany), Stripburger (Slovenia), Bülb Factory (Switzerland), Lapin y Patate Douce (France), El Víbora, Mondosonoro, Mongolia, Dos veces breve, Tos, Humo, La Resistencia, Nosotros somos los muertos, El Manglar, GQ, Rolling Stone, Isla flotante (Spain). He has published more than a dozen comic books for adults. Amongst his latest titles are: "Heavy. Los Chicos Están Mal" [Heavy. The Kids Ain't Right] (Sapristi/Roca, 2017) and in the area of children's comics: "Rey Huevo" [King Egg] (Mamut/Bang, 2011) and "El Mundo de Miki" [Miki's World] (Mamut/Bang, 2019).
