Juan Ramón Barat (Valencia, 1959) works across all literary genres and has been the recipient of various prizes and awards as a poet, dramatist and fiction author. His prose projects include '1707, el sueño perdido' ('1707; The Lost Dream') set during the War of the Spanish Succession, and 'Jaime I el rey templario' ('James I - the Templar King'), which is set in the late Middle Ages. He was awarded the city of Salamanca's international prize for his novel 'Infierno de neón' ('Neon Inferno'). Younger readers have awarded him the 2014 Premio Hache for best YA novel for 'Deja en paz a los muertos' ('Let the Dead Rest in Peace'). The series continues with 'La sepultura 142' ('Grave 142'), 'Llueve sobre mi lápida' ('Rain on My Headstone') and 'La noche de las gárgolas' ('Night of the Gargoyles'), which were all published under the Paralelo Cero imprint.
