Lucas's Smile
Pedro Solís (Barcelona, October 15th 1968) is a Spanish director and scriptwriter. He works in 3D animation and has won two Goya best short film prizes for 'La Bruxa' ('The Witch', 2011) and 'Cuerdas' ('Strings', 2014). He has always been drawn to the world of animation and animation technology and has spent many long nights learning how to manipulate 3D models. In 1998 he decided to swap the stability of a full time job to start afresh in the videogame sector where he has taken on various roles, from 3D artist to co-producer on various titles for both PC and games consoles. He made the transition to cinema thanks to the character Tadeo Jones, working on desigining scenes for Enrique Gato's short films 'Tadeo Jones' and 'Tadeo Jones y el sótano maldito' ('Tadeo Jones and the Basement of Doom').
