Victoria Álvarez (Salamanca, 1985) is an art historian who works as a professor at the University of Salamanca specialising in 19th century art literature. After the publication of her first novels - Hojas de dedalera [Foxglove Leaves] (Versátil, 2011) and Las Eternas [The Eternals] (Versátil, 2012) - in 2014 she started the Dreaming Spires trilogy with Tu nombre después de la lluvia [Your Name after the Rain] (Lumen), which continued in Contra la fuerza del viento [Against the Force of the Wind] (Lumen, 2015) and El sabor de tus heridas [The Taste of your Wounds] (Lumen, 2016). In 2017 she published La ciudad de las sombras [The City of Shadows] (Nocturna), the first in the Helena Lennox trilogy, whose story continues in El príncipe de los prodigios [The Prince of Wonders] (Nocturna, 2018). In 2018 she published two more independent novels: Silverville (Nocturna) and La Costa de Alabastro [The Alabaster Coast] (Alianza: Runas), and in 2019 La voz de Amunet [The Voice of Amunet] (Nocturna), a story set in Ancient Egypt.
