Fran Pintadera y Txell Darné

Fran Pintadera's books have been selected as being among the best Spanish-language books by the Fundación Cuatrogatos and have been recognised by the Fundación Germán Sánchez Ruipérez. He has won various prizes, including the Luna de Aire international children's poetry prize and the Compostela International Picture Book Prize for 'Cándido y los demás' ('Cándido and the Others'), which was named the best children's or YA book published in 2018 by the Spanish Ministry of Culture.
Txell Darné, the co-author of 'An Ordinary Mountain' has illustrated various books for children and young readers for publishing houses throughout Spain. She has taken part in high profile fairs and exhibitions including Ilustrarte (Portugal), the Bologna Children's Book Fair (Italy) and the Bratislava Biennial. Her work has also been exhibited in the Otani Memorial Art Museum in Japan. In 2003 she won the first illustration prize awarded by the Instituto de la Juventud.
