Christina MacSweeney was awarded the 2016 Valle Inclán Translation Prize for her translations of Valeria Luiselli’s The Story of My Teeth. She has published two other books by the same author, and her translations of Daniel Saldaña París’s novel Among Strange Victims (shortlisted for the 2017 Best Translated Book Award). She has also published works by Eduardo Rabasa Julián Herbert, Verónica Gerber Bicecci, Elvira Navarro and Jazmina Barrera. Her translations have appeared on wide a variety of platforms, and in three anthologies: México20, Lunatics, Lovers Poets: Twelve stories after Cervantes and Shakespeare and Crude Words: Contemporary Writing from Venezuela. She is now working on a short story collection by Elvira Navarro and a novel by Karla Suárez.
