José Antonio Jiménez-Barbero
José Antonio Jiménez-Barbero was born in Barcelona in 1975 and now lives in Murcia. After serving several years in the police and then working as a mental-health nurse, he now teaches at the University of Murcia's School of Nursing. He completed his PhD in 2013 with a thesis on school violence and behavioural problems in young people, and is involved in several lines of research on these subjects. His fiction takes inspiration from his wide professional and academic experience, and tackles the issues of child psychology from a candid and realistic perspective.
