Vicente Muñoz Puelles

Vicente Muñoz Puelles was born in Valencia in 1948. His work comprises dozens of titles, among which are seventeen novels and two anthologies of stories for adults, some twenty young adult novels and a few more for younger children, as well as numerous critical editions, translations, essays and adaptations. He has published with Tusquets Editores, Planeta, Anaya & Mario Muchnik, Valdemar and Oxford University Press. Many translations of his work can be found in the catalogues of foreign publishers such as Éditions du Seuil (France), Casterman (Belgium) y Grove Press (United States). He has won eighteen literary prizes among which several deserve mention, including the Sonrisa Vertical (1980), the Azorín (1983), the National Prize for Young Adult and Children's Literature (1999), the Alfons el Magnànim (2002) and the Young Adults and Children's Anaya (2004 y 2014).
