Isola Bella, Italy. Lake Maggiore. Stresa. Borronees islands. The rain. A meeting… After her son left home to get married and have a baby, Julia, a fifty-year-old woman, graduated in literature and housewife, realizes, for the first time in her life, that her life has been of little importance. Unexpectedly, she finds some notebooks written by her, when she was a teenager. Reading them will face Julia with a promised and wonderful future that she hasn’t been able to fulfil. This feeling will lead her to a decision: breaking her marriage and travelling to Stresa, a little, beautiful and calm place in the North of Italy, where she wishes to find herself again and think about her new future. Llorenç, a mature handsome man, with a long experience as a theatre actor, is temporarily living in Stressa. He is staying at a friend’s house, a calm and warm place to write the book that he has been asked for; a book about his experience as a theatre actor. Julia and Llorenç will meet, each with a different past, a different life. She is going. He is going back. An unexpected encounter that will change the rest of their lives.
