Norah Lange (Buenos Aires, 1905-1972) was an Argentine poet and writer, notable for being one of the few women who devoted herself to writing avant garde prose. She published the poetry collections 'La calle de la tarde' (1925, with a prologue by Borges); 'Los días y las noches' (1926), and 'El rumbo de la rosa' (1930), as well as the novels 'Voz de vida' (1927), '45 días y 30 marinero's (1933), 'Personas en la sala' (1950) and 'Los dos retratos' (1956). In 1937 she published a book of memoirs 'Cuadernos de Infancia' and, in 1944, 'Antes que muera', more memoirs. She was married to the poet Oliverio Girondo.
