José María Martínez Selva (Elche, 1955) is Professor of Psychobiology at the Universidad de Murcía, where he has taught psychophysiology, psychology and physiology since 1978. He has been visiting lecturer at the universities of Lille (France), Guadalajara (Mexico) and Panama and has worked at the University of the South of California, Harvard Medical School and Strathclyde University (Glasgow).
From 1992-3 he was in charge of communications for the Technical Assistance Unit of the SPRINT programme for Innovation and the Transfer of Technology of the European Union, based in Luxembourg. He has also been a member of the National Commission for Science and Technology and the National Commission for Evaluation of Research Activity.
