José Manuel Naredo (1942) is Doctor in Economic Sciences and belongs to the State Statistics Higher Group. He has extensive research experience that combines reflections on the foundations of economic thought with specific analysis on topics ranging from monitoring the economic situation in relation to patrimonial aspects, to the functioning of agricultural, urban and industrial systems in relation to natural resources. He is the author of numerous publications, including: Por una oposición que se oponga (2001), La evolución de la agricultura en España (1940-2000) (2004), and is co-author, with Antonio Estevan, of the book Ideas y propuestas para una nueva política del agua (2004).
