El ángel negro

In the winter of 1667, Migel de Torres and his brother Diego are accused of high treason and condemned to eternal banishment. As they try to rebuild their lives in Maracaibo, the pirate Morgan captures them and sells them as slaves in Port Royal market.
Meanwhile, Kelly Colbert must endure the punishment of travelling to Jamaica for having refused to accept an arranged marriage. On her uncle's ranch, 'Promise', she must struggle agains the rules of this society, the contempt she feels for slavery and, above all, the attraction she feels towards Miguel, the arrogant Spanish slave.
