Time of Sand
David Cirici, born in Barcelona in 1954, is a writer, author of screenplays and publicist. In 1984 he won the Apel-les Mestres Prize for Children's Literature with the book "Vòlics". For "La fábrica de les mentides" ("The Lie Factory") he won the Premio Joaquim Ruyra for fiction. With "Vida dels altres" ("Other People's Lives") he was a finalist for the Premi Ramon Llull 2000. He has also published "Els Grúfols" (Ediciones Pau), a book for children about racism, and "El baró i la leprosa" (Empúries). He has been creative director of the agencies RCP, Saatchi & Saatchi and Alta Definión, and founding member and director at Imagina. Since 2000 he has headed his own agency, Cirici Comunicació.
