In 'La nueva taxidermia', Mercedes Cebrián returns to the field of narrative with a book composed of two novelas. In 'Qué inmortal he sido' (How immortal have I been), an exercise of memory and an attempt to capture history lead the heroine to undertake a project to reconstruct spaces from the past. In 'Voz de dar malas noticias' (A voice for giving bad news), singing student Belinda abandons her career because she believes that she has no talent for 'live' professions. Of an introspective disposition, she decides to enlist three puppets to help her find her own voice.
