In this book, Professor Sergio L. Palacios aims to provide an enjoyable and comprehensive look at the world of science in general, and the unyielding laws of physics in particular, accecsible to anyone regardless of their prior knowledge of the topic. With this aim in mind, he uses science-fictiction films once again as a pretext, plagued as they are with inexact, erroneous, imprecise (not to say manifestly false) scientific concepts. In this, his second work of pop science, the author explains the possibilities and impossibilities of certain superheroic feats: journeys through space to worlds light years away, the bending of space time to reach speeds faster than that of light, journeys through time or the existence of alternative realities and parallel universes, among many other topics.
