When Renate falls in love with the quarrelsome Rony she does not know what she is letting herself in for. She is, after all, only 15 and has never had to deal before with a force of nature like Sabina, Rony's gypsy girlfriend. Events unfold too fast for Renate, who finds herself drawn into extreme situations she is not prepared for and which plunge her into deep sadness. She must find inner strength to recover her normal life in her little Norwegian village, where her school friends will always accuse her of being to blame for the whole drama.
