La hija de la noche

 The tranquillity of the small French village of Beaufort is shattered by an event that seems at first to lack a reasonable explanation. The farmer Henri Morillon has found one of his cows dead, in strange circumstances: it has been bled to death.
Some of the villagers, such as young Jerome, think that the Grisard mansion has something to do with  what's happened. The big old house stood empty and abandoned for many years until the beautiful and enigmatic Isabel moved in suddenly, returning to the area she was born in and from which she fled a long time ago. The mysteries surrounding this woman awaken the locals' suspicions, and the young neighbourhood gendarme Max begins to investigate.
