This book is the posthumous work of the diplomat, writer and arabist, Rodolfo Gil Benumeya. The work is about the common ground shared by the polemic religions of Judaism and Islamism, which during centuries have lived together along the shores of the Mediterranean.
The book researches the shared origins of these religions in the Sumerian, Canena and Egyptian civilisations, using both classic and sacred texts. It is not only about their rituals, but also their views on nature, eternity, the enemy etc seen through their political and social structures.
The author, who lived on both sides of the Mediterranean, wants to show us in this essay, using his own experiences, how much these two civilisations, have in common.
