Nuria's teacher has given her a box of silkworms to look after. Little by little she learns what they are like, what they eat and how to look after them so that they grow and are healthy, as well as the process by which silk cocoons are made and how the worms become butterflies. Silkworms is a book aimed at showing children what silkworms are like and the life cycle which they will observe as they look after them. It's a rhyming story with the aim of entertaining very young readers while also instructing them in a simple and friendly way how to look after silkworms when it's their turn to take them home. It is a story aimed at children between 3 and 7 years old, the age group which tends to work with silkworms both at nursery and in the first years of primary school.
