In the Blood
A graduate of Classical Language and Literature, Laura Gomara works both in publishing and as a teacher of creative writing. She has worked helping authors as a reader, with a literary agency, as a production and communication editor and as an associate professor at the University of Pompeu Fabra. She has written for Quimera and Libros y Literatura and her stories have appeared in several anthologies. She was a finalist for the L’H Confidencial Prize (2016) with her first novel, "Vienen mal dadas" [Rainy Days are Coming] and she has been nominated for many other prizes such as Silverio Cañada Memorial Prize for the Best First Novel in the Noir genre; 6th Pata Negra Book Prize; Black Mountain Bossòst Prize; prize for Best Novel in Spanish at the Cubelles Noir festival and the Tuber Melanosporum at the Morella Negra festival. "In the Blood" bas been given an enthusiastic welcome by readers and critics alike.
