Raquel Díez (Jerez, 1982) holds degrees in Psychopegagogy (2005) and Advertising and PR (2007) from the University of Cadiz. She is the author of children's and YA books and has taught Infant and Primary Education since 2005. She coordinates innovation projects in schools and works as an instructor in the field of innovation and creativity in teaching. She has published numerous works for children and teachers, characterised by a creativity and innovation in teaching methods. Notable examples of her illustrated books include: El príncipe Serafín [Prince Seraphim], a book that turns the idea of stereotypical gender models on its head; El piojo Saltarín [The Jumping Louse] (selected for the OEPLI 2017 catalogue); El duende Pepín: ¡Guillermo no quiere comer! [Pepin the Imp: Guillermo doesn't want to eat!] (2017), Martina tiene miedo [Martina is afraid] (2017), Mi padre del Cielo [My father in heaven] (2018).; and El piojo Saltarín en la biblioteca [The Jumping Louse in the Library] (2019).
