Alaine Agirre y Maite Gurrutxaga

She started working as an illustrator in 2008 and has since illustrated books for children, young people and adults. She has also used illustration in other types of media such as posters, diaries, newspapers, letters, apps and murals. Over the years her work has received a number of awards, such as the Euskadi Literature Prize for Literary Illustration for the comic Habiak / Nidos in 2014; or the Lazarillo Picture Book Prize for Martín, with text by Alaine Agirre, in 2015. Her work has also been selected several times to participate in the Bratislava Biennial of Illustration (2013, 2017 and 2019) and the Illustrating life project in Beijing (2017 and 2019).
